core gameloop got boring rly fast - particularly backtracking for resource gathering. when the second char left it broke my heart and put down the game and never picked it back up. i understand that's the point of the game, and for some this might be a pro, but just not the kinda game i was looking for at the time.

this is a game i did not understand when i first tried it 5 years ago - i put it down, bored, 10min after picking it up. but with some life experience, empathy, and meta (e.g. on the allegory to sundown towns, which are unbelievably absolutely real), i've come to appreciate it as a real piece of art.

the zero tolerance approach to punctuation

i loved this book i got from the GLAD day bookstore book swap - the deal was you trade in 1 high quality queer book and receive vouchers for 3 random old books they needed to cycle out of their collection. i think a lot about punctuation.

liked the premise but execution left much to be desired. characters were flat and shallow, plot goes nowhere (unlike every single other slice of life, where seemingly episodic chapters build into smth satisfying). but hey, i'll take the selective mutism representation. one where the neutral rating expresses simultaneous liking + deep disappointment.

everyone told me i would love this because i *loved* SVSSS but it was just ok. maybe too much of a slow burn for me, i could only get thru the first 2 of 11 volumes. the fanon is a lil better.
